The Ben Pearce team headed to the Narrogin race track on Friday, November 28 with fine conditions racing on a good three with race 4 being the highlight for the team on the day with When In Roan competing in the Thank You Brock maiden for three year olds and upwards over 1700 m with Alan Kennedy aboard jumping from barrier eight in a field of 11.
With the field jumping as one When in Rome took a position midfield and had a nice sit for the run ahead with the race leaders Shazlick and Not A Way to Go running the race at a fair clip with Hot Chill Cape Command and Miss Roberta going for home, with Kennedy patiently trailing those runners into the race.
Into the straight Cape Comand and hot Chill went for home but not for long as the patients was about to be rewarded as When In Roam eased off heals and ran to the line narrowly defeating Cape Command with Miss Robert landing in third place.
