The Ben Pearce team will supply two runners to the Belmont TAB metropolitan race meeting to be held under wet conditions at this stage on Saturday, August 23 with a slow six track rating posted for the event.

The first of the stable runners will feature in race seven in a 1300 meter handicap with Mad Brad looking for three wins in a row jumping from barrier 11 in a field of 11 with Peter Hall aboard.

Mad Brad is a talented four-year-old Bay gelding having start number nine with three  x wins and three x placings earning prize-money for connections of just over $55,000, he has raced competitive throughout his short career with this preparation delivering the best results so far with his last two runs at Belmont bringing home the prize, the first in July 9 when the gelding won by half a length over 1200m and was last seen running over 1400 m taking out the event by .25 of a length when travelling sixth in the early stages of the run to overpower the field in a time of 1:26.33 when ridden by Peter Hall on that occasion.

The second stable runner will come out in race eight in 1400 meter handicap with the ever consistent Danablue jumping from barrier seven in a field of 11 with Ben Patterson aboard.

Danablue is a five-year old Bay gelding having start number 19 with three wins and eight placings bringing about prize-money in excess of $125,000, with recent runs dealing out a string of thirds at Belmont with the last time the gelding was seen competitive racing was on July 30 when he finished fourth of 8 over 1300 m with Joe Azzopardi aboard.

Ben has added Blinkers to Danablue's attire for this run, with the hope getting a little bit more out of him.

The Stable would like to wish connections of both these runners the best of luck at Belmont on Saturday.
