The Ben Pearce racing team presented the handy Vital Edition to race three in a 1755 meter benchmark 66+ handicap with Peter Hall aboard jumping from barrier three in a field of seven.
As the judge let them go Hall had the favourite one of fthe fence sliding back in the early stages with race leader Orikhan pressing forward Northpace was in second Star Crest was third Vital Edition was fourth as the field strung out in single file pretty much round the back.
Proceeding into the turn for the run home off the River side of the track Orikhan was joined by Northpace Desert Glow was there Star Crest was slipping back as Hall circled on the Ben Pearce Commodity hit the lead and bought up three in a row for the four year old gelding and connections by 2.25 lengths to Desert Glow with a margin to Dubai Escapade in third. Well done to Ben and Colin Pearce with the success of Vital Edition.
