Vampi Lass is a 4yo brown mare trained by Ben Pearce, who is based at Lark Hill. She is sired by the stallion Bletchley Park out of the dam Stormvielle, with their prodigy already a stakes winner having amassed over $233,000 from 22 starts with 3 wins 5 seconds & 6 thirds.
Ridden in a positive manner by Kennedy she was always traveling well from a favorable draw until coming off heals in the straight to head to the line strongly.
Ben Pearce was aware of the opposition and new it would be a big effort for his charge to score first time over the trip, but was happy with the way Vampi Lass had been hitting the line and was delighted to finally land a good gate for the event.
Vampi Lass showed great attrition to take out the event and both horse and trainer thoroughly deserve landing a Group race for the team. WELL DONE.
