As the barriers opened Vampi Lass was slow to begin looking almost too relaxed with the 1400 meter event before her, however on settling Peter Hall urged her up between runners leaving four runners behind them, to guide the Ben Pearce trained commodity outside off the fence, bowling along in a relaxed fashion with Aloha Miss out in front Black Aria was second Internationalist at odds was in third with Dabang in fourth as Vampi Lass was taking in all the scenery as they past the creek side some 7 lengths from the pace-setter 800m from home.

Coming round the side Vampi Lass was turning in great spirit as she ambled up to her competitors with ease as she collared Debang with Cadenza putting in an effort, but to no avail as Vampi Lass cruised to victory taking out the final event in a solid second up effort well done to the ownership group consisting of Mr B M Pearce, Black Swan Racing, Mr J A Dickson, Mr M A Holcombe, Mr D J Brine, Mr J M Pearson.
