The ever consistent Bletchley Park sired 3yo Vampi Lass, has finally broken her maiden status with a lip win, at a previously untried venue prior to this win,  Bunbury race club. Ridden by Peter Knuckey the combination that has steered many a winner across the line, would prove another success story on the 29th of December.

On settling Vampi lass was on the rail in around 6th position with the pace setter Pru’s Image giving Vampi lass an 8 length lesson, by trying to pinch the race from the un assumed field. However things were about to change as the horses got towards the cheque processing end of the bargain, and as Vampi Lass momentarily got held up for a run, Paddy’s Flat went for the judge. Vampi Lass finally found a way through though by gathering  enough momentum to throw down a last ditch lunge to make things interesting and inevitably getting the nod for the drought to be finally broken.

No one would of thought after the promising start to her career that a win would take 11 starts to achieve, but you almost get the feeling that it may be about to rain wins for this talented youngster.

Congratulations to the winning owners: Mr B M Pearce, Black Swan Racing, Mr J A Dickson, Mr M A Holcombe, Mr D J Brine, Mr J M Pearson.
