The Ben Pearce Yard will supply two runners to the Bunbury race club meeting on Thursday, November 13 with the rail out 3 m and the cut away in the straight racing under fine conditions on a track rated a good three.
The first of the stable runners will come out in race five in the Viv Henderson maiden over 1690m with When In Roan, second up from a spell to be ridden by Alan Kennedy jumping from barrier three in a field of 14.
When In Roan is four-year-old gelding having trialled twice this preparation at Lark Hill, the first of which was fifth of 10 on October 6 with the second trial on October 13 finishing second of seven, & was last seen competing at Ascot on October 29 finishing fifth of 11 over 1200m when ridden by Peter Hall landing 2.5 lengths from the winner in a race time of 1:11.29 with the last 600m in 35.77.
The second stable runner will come out in race nine in the Mark Bayliss handicap over 1100 m with Shining Time second up from a spell with Alan Kennedy aboard jumping from barrier six in a field of 14.
Shining Time is a six-year-old Bay mare having joined the stable recently from the Graham Yuill yard, with a recent Lark Hill trial under her belt finishing midfield fourth of 8 over 950 m when ridden by Alan Kennedy arriving 4.75 lengths behind the winner of that heat in a time of 57.21.
Shining Time was last seen racing at Northam on October 30 over 1100 m with Peter Hall aboard finishing 1.7 lengths third of 10 in a race time of 1:04.37 with the last 600m 34.34.
Ben has adjusted the gear on the Mare for this outing by adding a Crossover Noseband for this assignment.
