Le Petron is a three-year-old chestnut Filly having raced on eight occasions for two wins and four placings earning prize-money in excess of $57,000, she returns from a spell and is prepared for this outing via a Lark Hill barrier trial on June 27 over 950 m finishing third of nine with Joseph Azzopardi the pilot arriving 1.25 lengths behind the heat winner in a time of 58.64.
Race Analysis: BANGALORE resumed with a bang for the new trainer when scoring over this course in good time. Expect a repeat. BOMBS AWAY is in fine form at present and gets in well after the claim. Over his favourite distance he can threaten. CLOBBERETTA is rarely far away but can’t quite get the job done this season. Each way safest. LE PATRON is talented and can run on strongly late at her first run back from a spell. Has claims if the leaders overcook it.
Building a strong career record and a good recent barrier trial suggests she is ready to pick up where she left off. Watch for her storming late.
Last time out in March
Race five on the card in the corporate membership 2016/17 handicap over 1200m, will see the return of Forbidden Planet in and No Metro Win Handicap with Peter Hall aboard jumping from barrier nine in a field of 11.

Race Analysis: A competitive one although Pike sticking with ASTRONOMITE might be a good pointer. Impressed with his maiden win last start after a promising first-up run. Can take the next step. TUCKY’S LAD defeated the top pick two starts back and performed well again last time out. Suited out to this distance. COUNT TOMOZ OFF has a bright future if his debut win here last week is any indication. It’s just a shame he has bumped into a strong field. ANGELIC ANGEL is in good form and can be in the mix again.
First up form is solid showing 2 starts for 1 win, though last start failure is hard to forget.
The stable would like to wish connections of both these runners the best of luck at Belmont on Wednesday.
