Metropolitan TAB racing on Wednesday, 23 April will be held at Ascot where the weather is fine, a track reading of a good three is current with the rail out 12 m.

The Ben Pearce stable will present two runners on the day with the first in race 2 with Don'tgetcaught racing over 1400 m with Troy Turner aboard jumping from barrier five of nine carrying 57 kg.

The Three-year-old Bay gelding has had one visit to the Ascot strip previously finishing sixth of eight in March with his recent outings bringing up a win at Narrogin late March, taking out the event by 2.75 lengths, with the latest being a second at the Narrogin venue going down by 1/2 a length on that occasion.

The final runner for the yard will be in race eight in a 1400 meter handicap with Trade Tip coming out in saddlecloth 3 to be ridden by Peter Knuckey jumping from barrier five carrying 59 kg.

Trade Tip is a four-year-old gelding and returned for this preparation with a third at Narrogin in early April, when he finished just under half a length behind the eventual winner.

Trade Tip has showed good ability but occasionally leaves it behind on race day. The stable is hopeful of an improved effort second up in which he displays nice form having started on two occasions for one win and one third.

Best of luck to all connections with their runners at Ascot on Wednesday.
