Safeguard filly Sinful Living landed back-to-back wins at Belmont on Saturday when taking out the Quayclean Handicap (1000m) in a Pearce Racing quinella.
Starting the $2 favourite off the back of a strong midweek victory 10 days prior, the speedy three-year-old was sent straight to the lead by jockey William Pike and absorbed pressure throughout running before shaking off her rivals on straightening.
Stablemate Under Influence ($6.50) finished powerfully from last to make late ground but was no match for Sinful Living as she held on for an authoritative two-length victory.
Ain’t No Other Main ($3.40) finished a further neck away in third place.
Purchased by Pearce Racing for only $10,000 at the 2023 Magic Millions Perth Winter Yearling Sale, Sinful Living has been a revelation for her all-ladies ownership group with 10 career starts for four wins, two second placings and an impressive $379,175 in total earnings to date.
Meanwhile, stablemates Hezangelic (third), Exceltrain (third) and Influencing (second) also ran minor placings in their respective races on the day.
The Pearce stable will saddle up Desert Madame, Scenic Boom, Hoochie Gucci and Ultimate Style at Toodyay on Sunday before Monday’s public holiday Bunbury meeting where Kiralui, Tutukaka Boy and Manhattan Jewel are engaged.
