Ben Pearce has accepted with two runners for the Northam race club meeting on Thursday, July 9 with fine conditions forecast racing on a good 4, the rail is out 6 m and true the remainder.

The first of the stable runners will see career first starter, Little Vinnie, heading out in the LC Bushell Maiden over 1100 m with Troy Turner aboard jumping from barrier eight with a field of 12 to compete.

Little Vinnie is a two-year-old Bay colt By War Chant out of Oriel and is prepared for this outing via two barrier trials the first of which at Lark Hill on the 15th of June finishing eight of 8 over 950 with Paul Harvey aboard and was last seen at Lark Hill in a trial on June 29 finishing third of 7 over 950m with Paul Harvey again the pilot arriving three quarters of a length behind the heat winner in a time of 58.55.

The next stable runner will see another first starter in Forbidden Planet coming out in race 2 in the KA Christiansen maiden 1100 meter set weights event with Paul Harvey aboard jumping from barrier nine in a field of 12.

Forbidden Planet is a two year old black colt by Planet Five out of Karsavina Star and is prepared for this outing via two Lark Hill trials the first of which on June 15 finishing six of 10 with Paul Harvey aboard arriving three lengths behind the heat winner and was last seen trialing on June 29 finishing second of 8 over 950 m with Paul Harvey the pilot arriving 2.75 lengths behind the heat winner on that occasion.

The stable would like to wish connections of both these first starters the best of luck at Northam on Thursday.
