Trade Tip took part in the Narrogin race meeting on Sunday, 6 April in race 5 over 1190 m with Peter Knuckey in the saddle jumping from barrier six in a field of 8.
As the gates flew back Trade Tip settled worse than midfield and got into stride early to be in reach of the pack with Peter waiting for the right time to introduce the four-year-old gelding into the race.
Coming to the turn Peter took Trade Tip wide, coming to the outside to have one crack at the leaders in the straight.
On straightening it was a dash for the line with Choisime looking the one to catch, he started to shorten stride with Trade Tip and Storm Sense putting in the big ones, however it was to be Storm Sense fresh legs late on the scene who would take out the event with a short margin splitting Choisime (2nd) and Trade Tip finishing in the third.
