The Ben Pearce trained three-year-old gelding Don'tgetcaught continued a nice preparation on Wednesday at the Ascot meeting in race two on the card, where Don'tgetcaught stepped out in a 1400 meter handicap jumping from barrier five ridden by Troy Turner.

Troy got the gelding into handy position on landing and was fourth between runners, on settling Don'tgetcaught was around two lengths off the leading couple, one off the plastic waiting for Troys introduction for the gelding to make a move.

Coming to the turn, Troy hunted Don'tgetcaught up and he responded knuckling down to the task, fighting hard up the straight to overhaul, Long Over Due, and Kim Mini to take out the Yellowglen handicapped by a neck on the line.

The penny seems to have dropped for the three-year-old this preparation, as he is racing with confidence, settling in the running and knowing where the line is having won two of his last three including a second at Narrogin.

Congratulations to Mr J Glass and Ms M Leigh on your victory at Ascot on Wednesday.
