Ben Pearce will supply three runners to the Bunbury race club meeting on Monday, January 26, with fine weather predicted racing on a good three with the rail out 3 m until the cut away in the straight.
The first of Ben's runners will come out in race three in a maiden over 2019 m with Poets Tale 2nd up from a spell jumping from barrier 2 in a field of 13.
Poets Tale is a three-year-old gelding having trialled twice this preparation with the latest being Lark Hill on December 29 finishing fourth of 8 over 1450 m landing six lengths behind the heat winner, and was last seen at Pinjarra on January 11 finishing fifth of 14 over 1500 m with Alan Kennedy in charge landing 3.25 lengths off the winner in a race time of 1:31.60.
The next stable runner Danablue will come out in race 6 over 1200 m with Alan Kennedy the pilot jumping from barrier eight in a field of nine.
Danablue is a five-year-old Bay gelding having start number 22 with four wins and eight placings earning prize-winning in excess of $160,000, after winning at Belmont last preparation he then finished fourth of 11 at Belmont over 1200 m in October 11, 2014, going down by two lengths on that occasion, he resumes first up from a spell this time being prepared after a Lark Hill barrier trial on January 12 over 950m with Alan aboard finishing 7.75 lengths, six of 11 in a time of 55.17 for the trip.
The final Ben Pearce prepared runner will come out in race eight with last start winner Prince Friar to be ridden by Glenn Smith jumping from barrier eight in a field of 16 in a 1410 meter handicap event.
Prince Friar is a three-year-old gelding having start number five with one win and one placing earning prize-money in excess of $14,000, since winning a Lark Hill trial on December 15 over 950m, he contested at Ascot on December 27 finishing fourth of five over a thousand metres with Jarrod Noske in charge finishing 3.25 lengths behind the winner and was last seen at Pinjarra on January 14 over 1300 m when ridden by Glenn Smith finished first of 11 two lengths in front of the nearest competitor in a race time of 1:18.20 with the last 600m in 35.66.
