The Ben Pearce Team looks likely to field two runners on Saturday September 13, with current overcast conditions delivering a Dead 4 track with the rail out 3 metres around the Belmont venue.
The first of the stable runners will head out in race 2 on the card in the Bruce Kelley's 80th Memorial Hcp over 1000m, with Bellaxena jumping from barrier 9 in a field of 11, Ben Paterson will steer.
Bellaxena is a 5-year-old Bay Mare, having picked up one win and six placings with all results coming from this trip, recent outings have been at Belmont on August 6th, finishing 3rd of thirteen with Peter Hall aboard, finishing three quarters of a length from the winner with the last 600m clocked at 34.23 with a race time recorded at 58.95 for the journey.
The second stable runner will enter via race 7 in the Perth Racing On Facebook & Twitter Hcp over 1400m, with the ever consistent, Mad Brad to be ridden by Joe Azzopardi taking 2kg off the bulk 61kg handicapper weight assigned, to compete in a field of 11.
Mad Brad as reported previously was looking at 4 straight last time out with wins at a Belmont over 1200m, 1400m, & 1300m with Peter Hall in charge, with the last outing on September 6 delivering a third place for connections, finishing 2.5 lengths from the winner Brother Patrick over 7 furlongs on a Dead surface.
Mad Brad has contested on 10 occasions for 4 wins, 1 second & 3 thirds for prize money in excess of $85,000, with the Belmont track hosting three of those wins. Ben will also look at final fields for both these starters as to which direction to head.
