Lightly-raced four-year-old Soso Lucky kept her undefeated record in tact after two starts at Belmont Park on Wednesday when taking out the Book Into Peninsula Dining Room At Belmont Park Handicap (1300m).

The Lean Mean Machine mare flashed potential when bolting in by more than two lengths at her race debut at Bunbury on July 25 and followed it up with an equally-impressive performance in a Belmont demolition.

Starting the $3.20 favourite with Chris Parnham aboard, the bay jumped from barrier two and settled three-back on the rail before working through her gears on straightening and finishing brilliantly to hit the front passing the 150m mark.

She pulled away over the late stages to defeat Village Girl ($10) by more than two lengths and be the only horse to win along the cutaway from seven races on the day.

Just Adorabelle ($14) finished a further half length away in third place.

The Pearce stable will saddle up Kermelia, Jive King, Loud Halo, Famous Dain and Manhattan Strip at Northam on Thursday before Saturday’s Belmont meeting where Under Influence, Super Romani, Starring Knight, Bird’s The Word and Manavendra are engaged.

Stablemate Acromantula will also fly the flag for the yard across the country when he races first up at Moonee Valley on Saturday.
