Speedy Safeguard filly Sinful Living was back to her best at Belmont on Wednesday when taking out the Perth Racing Now Hiring Carnival Staff Handicap (1000m).
Starting a raging $1.50 favourite, the three-year-old was having her second run back from a spell when fired straight to the front by jockey Chris Parnham and making every post a winner.
It was a painless watch for backers as she careered away from her rivals on straightening to defeat Home James ($9) by just over two lengths, with Smokey Mountain ($7.50) a further length away in third place.
Purchased for just $10,000 at the 2023 Perth Magic Millions Winter Yearling Sale, the all-ladies-owned Sinful Living has now nine career starts for three wins, two second placings and an incredible $294,635 in stake earnings and Westspeed Platinum bonuses.
The Pearce stable will saddle up five runners at Belmont on Saturday, comprising of Blue Rocket, Perfect Chant, Starring Knight, Manavendra and Westriver Miracle.
