Ben Pearce will supply two runners to the Belmont turf club meeting on Wednesday, August 26 with the weather predicted to be fine racing on a soft six the rail is out 15 m with a cut away to 12 m in the straight.
The first of the stable runners, Roman Fighter will come out in race one over a thousand metres with Peter Hall aboard jumping from barrier 2 in a field of nine.
Roman Fighter is a four-year-old chestnut gelding having start number five with one win and two placings earning prize-money in excess of $17,000, last time out he raced at Ascot on April 1, finishing second of 7 over 1200 m in a 1MW event with Paul Harvey aboard arriving 1.75 lengths behind the winner in a time of 1:11.58, he then went for a break and competed at Belmont on August 17 finishing first of 10 over a thousand metres with Paul Harvey aboard arriving 1.75 lengths in front of the nearest rival in a heat time of 1:01.39.
The second stable runner Le Patron, a last start winner will come out in race 4 in a Westspeed handicap over a thousand metres with Jarrad Noske aboard jumping from barrier 12 in a field of 14.
Le Patron is a three-year-old chestnut Filly having start number two with one win earning prize-money in excess of $16,000, that win was at Belmont over a thousand metres on August 12 racing on a good 4, with Jarrad Noske aboard scoring a maiden win by 1.25 lengths to War In Paris, with Viking Forest in third in a race time of 1:00.36 for the trip.
