Roman fighter is a three-year-old chestnut colt and is prepared for this outing via a Belmont barrier trial on February 15 finishing first of eight with Ben Patterson on board landing the heat win by half a length in a time of 1:01.54 and was last seen in a trial at Bunbury on February 13 finishing second of seven over a thousand metres with Ben Patterson the pilot landing 2 1/4 lengths off the heat winner in a time of 1:00.28.
