The sun has set on the 2023/24 racing season and Pearce Racing has delivered its best metropolitan and prizemoney results to date.
Following a stable-record 87 overall winners the previous season, a heavier focus on the metropolitan area saw an improved 35 city wins among 82 victories, placing the stable in second position for overall wins in WA and in the top five in Perth’s metropolitan premiership.
One Group 3 and six Listed successes helped the stable deliver prizemoney of $3,680,135 to its owners, up considerably from $2,775,250 the previous season, whilst also tasting interstate success with Acromantula taking out the Listed Carlyon Stakes (1000m) at Moonee Valley in August 2023.
Let’s Galahvant proved the stable flagbearer with his 17 starts throughout the 2023/24 season netting wins in the Group 3 Strickland Stakes (2000m), Listed Northam Cup (1600m), Listed Carbine Club of WA Stakes (1400m) and Easingwold Stakes (1400m), taking his career prizemoney to $849,760.
Stakes-level success also went to Black Fantasy in the Listed Towton Cup (2200m) and Queen Alina in the Listed ATA Stakes (2200m), whilst Manavendra and Bird’s The Word’s victories in the Esperance Cup (2000m) and Westspeed Platinum Winter Series Final (1400m) respectively landed wins in $100,000 feature races.
Lord Vampi was one of 16 individual three-year-old winners for the stable and won four races throughout the season, including the Listed JC Roberts Stakes (1800m), as well as finishing third in the Group 2 WATC Derby (2400m).
The Playing God gelding has since been sold to Hong Kong buyers.
Three-year-olds catered for 25 of the stable’s 82 wins, with Influencing’s four-straight victories in February and March 2024 another highlight.
Daniel and Ben Pearce would like to thank their valued clients for their continued support and stable staff for their tireless work in helping the stable achieve ongoing success.
Fresh off the stable’s most active yearling acquisition period yet, Pearce Racing continues to strengthen and look forward to an even better 2024/25 season ahead!
