The Ben Pearce Yard saddled up the final runner in Raising Dubai for a BM 66+ handicap at Belmont on Saturday, August 29 to compete over 1600 m with a showery day on and off, although the final event was held under better conditions with Jerry Noske aboard jumping from a wide barrier in field of 15.

The starter didn't hold them long before the field were underway in the Exhibition @ Perth racing handicap over the mile distance,  the first runner into stride was Tycoon Target, second coming across from an outside draw was Verdello Blue (18), Ancient Spell a last start winner was third,next was Insurgency  at big odds, whom was tucked in behind the front runners as Noske had Raising Dubai back in the early stages to settle with it all to do passing the 1200m.

Around the side on route to home it was still, Voodoo Target the race leader, Verdello Blue was between the leader and Mr Mankini who had made a mid race challenge, Insurgency was third, Ancient Spell was fourth with Raising Dubai moving up along the outside in a bunching field with The Director taking a trail behind The Ben Pearce commodity with the pair eager to challenge.

Into the straight Insurgency was living up to its name at odds to take over, Street Bandit was staking a claim off its right hip, with the backmarkers seriously challenging for race honours with Raising Dubai racing past the leading duo, as Pike on the race emergency The Director ran up on the outside of them all to take the lead in the concluding stages & land the 8th on the card by a head margin to Raising Dubai, who was as game as ever with Street Bandit landing in third, 3/4 of a length adrift from 2nd prize on this occasion.
