The Ben Pearce racing team supplied Raising Dubai to race 4 on the Belmont card in a BM 78+ handicap over a mile with Randy Tan aboard jumping from barrier (7).
On landing in the Jockey Celebration Day handicap, Raising Dubai was slowly into stride, Shalo eventually led the field after a tardy get away, with Gris Caro second, Thunderclap Newman was third with Sweet As Bro next in line, Raising Dubai was out the back rounding the side with seven lengths covering top to toe.
On straightening Raising Dubai was the widest runner, with Tan urging his partner along, the duo looked strong via the 300m, until Pat Carbery loomed between runners aboard Thunderclap Newman gaining a split in the concluding stages to land the prize, Senso arrived next by a small margin to relegate Raising Dubai to the third division.
The run however displayed plenty of merit for connections as it was his best performance seen for some time.
