Ben Pearce prepared Raising Dubai for race five at Ascot on Saturday, November 29 with Peter Hall in the saddle jumping from barrier eight in a field of 13 over 2200m.
As the Argonaut barriers flew open Raising Dubai was eased out the back by Hall and as the field past the post the first time around it was Monumental in front Young Lionel was in second Insurgency was third Daneclicked was in fourth as the field spread out many lengths back to the last runner.
On settling Young Lionel was leading the way Monumental was in second Ningaloo Blitz was third with Daneclicked still in fourth position 10 lengths back to Raising Dubai who was whipping the field in on preparing for the run in.
Into the straight Young Lionel was in charge however Starlight Lady at 30 to 1 was putting in the big stride and Hall had Raising Dubai flat out down the centre of the course and on landing at the post-it was Starlight Lady scoring the prize a head of Young Lionel with the fast finishing Raising Dubai running another honest race in third.
