The Ben Pearce racing stables supplied Proud History to the Narrogin Race & Pace Inc meeting on Australia Day Tuesday, January 26 with overcast conditions forecast racing on a good (3) the rail position was at the inside position.
Proud History accepted in race 4 on the Narrogin card in the Musicians Association’s maiden over 1190 m with Ben Patterson booked for the ride jumping from barrier one with a field of 10 to campaign.
As the field left the stalls Eye On The Ball was the race leader, shortly after though On The Reef snuck up under that runner to lead, Proud History was on the paint behind that leading duo, with Iron Maggie now punching up to third, relegating Proud History back to fourth, as Amachist cruised up to the leading division to sit deep on the track under the guidance of Jerry Noske.
Round the back On The Reef was the leader between runners was Eye On The Ball around the outside, the race favourite Amachist moved closer to the lead waiting for the straight to see what it could produce.
Coming out of the turn it was the On The Reef tackled in earnest by Amachist, whom took the lead and cruised away, landing the prize with the 1 saddle cloth proving popular on the day so far with 3 winners coming from the first 4 races in the card, Boom Boom Bang arrived in second with Proud History filling the third division on this occasion.
