Ben Pearce will supply one runner in the form of Prince Friar to the Ascot turf club race meeting on Saturday, December 27 with fine weather predicted racing on a good three with the rail out 6 m.

Prince Friar will compete in race three in a Westspeed three-year-old handicap over a thousand metres with Jarred Noske aboard jumping from barrier one in a small field of seven.

Prince Friar is a three-year-old Bay gelding having start number three with one placing earning prizemoney of $2,200, before going for a spell he competed at Belmont on June 11 finishing fourth of 11 over 1300 m in a two-year-old handicap finishing 3 1/2 lengths off the winner and was last seen trialing at Lark Hill on December 15 finishing first of 10 in a 950 m heat when ridden by Alan Kennedy finished three quarters of a length first, in a heat time of 57.4.

Ben has made a gear change alteration by removing the blinkers and tongue-tie for this assignment.
