Pearce Racing and jockey Tash Faithfull combined for a winning double at Narrogin on Monday where Desert Edge and Scenic Boom were both victorious.
Fiorente gelding Desert Edge kicked off the day on a good note and justified his $2.30 favouritism when dominating rivals in the TABtouch Watch Race Replays Handicap (1900m).
The four-year-old was sent straight to the lead by Faithfull and made every most a winner when skipping away clear on straightening and extending his margin to win by almost four-and-a-half lengths.
Zera Blue ($7) finished second, with Tuscan Holiday ($10) a further one-and-a-quarter lengths away in third place.
The slow-maturing Desert Edge is still learning his craft but he’s been a consistent staying type with his 16 career starts to date netting two wins and six minor placings.
Two races later stablemate Scenic Boom ($4.20) became the fourth Pearce runner in the past week to win first-up from a spell when taking out the The Drive Home With Cliff Maiden Handicap (1190m).
The Snippetson three-year-old jumped from an awkward draw in barrier eight but was given a lovely ride by Faithfull when positioned in the box seat in running before peeling around heels turning for home and finishing strongly.
The gelding defeated Manta Ray Bay ($5.50) by just under a length on the line, with Heilung ($21) a further nose away in third place.
The lightly-raced Scenic Boom has now raced six times for a win and a minor placing.
Faithfull rode a winning treble on the day, while Pearce Racing’s only other runner on the day, Pacific Lady, finished a close-up fourth..
The stable will saddle up Queen Of Hawks and Ungoverned at Belmont on Wednesday before Thursday’s Pinjarra meeting where debutant God’s Grin will be their sole runner.
