Madame Magic landed a career-best win at Northam on Monday when taking out the featured $100,000 WA Day Cup (1600m).

Ridden by Tash Faithfull, the Real Impact five-year-old continued her encouraging form following an Ascot Saturday victory two starts prior.

The mare jumped a $13 chance from barrier one and settled three-back on the fence before Faithfull took full advantage of the shortest way home via an uninterrupted inside run on straightening.

The pair hit the front passing the 200m mark and sprinted clear to defeat Ton Of Grunt ($11) by just under a length on the line, with First Encounter ($3.20) a further length away in third place.

Purchased by Pearce Racing for $40,000 at the 2021 Gold Coast Magic Millions Yearling Sale, Madame Magic has now had 24 career starts for four wins, six minor placings and $187,492 in stake earnings.

The Pearce stable will saddle up Blue Mozart and last-start winners Rally The Troops and Kermelia at Northam on Wednesday.
