The inform Ben Pearce racing stables supplied Mad Brad to race seven on the Geraldton race card in the Purcher International -Batavia sprint over 1300 m with prize-money of over $75,000 on offer with a win pool of $48,000 for first to be ridden by Dom Tourneur jumping from barrier one, with a full field of 14 to contest.

The starter dispatched the field evenly and it was Wotchinyu leading the field out in the early stages to Tudor Royal whom was prominent, Can't Say Too Much was also in a forward position with Tourneur settling Mad Brad in for the 1300 m in a comfortable position one of the fence, with Bali Cruiser up in a forward division as the field made there way round the final turn on route to the judge with the competitors relatively unchanged from the earlier call on straightening for the run home.

Into the straight Wotchinyu was doing exactly that as Tudor Royal ran to the front, Mad Brad and Tourneur where attempting to live up to there favorite tag and were making a fist of it as the Ben Pearce pairing loomed large off the leaders hip, as Zester, Cranky Dancer & Royal Rada were starting to show opposition, stride for stride the prize was uncertain, but as they landed at the line it was …. Mad Brad much to the delight of the connections consisting of trainer Ben Pearce and Brad Jones landing the thick end of the prize a half head to Zester with Tudor Royal in third.

A great result for a very consistent galloper, to land a much deserved win.
