Mad Brad competed at Ascot in race three in the Singapore turf club trophy over 1200 m with Ben Patterson aboard jumping from barrier 2 in a field of 11 first up from a spell.

As the starter released  over the 1200 m distance Mad Brad was slow to exit and was out the back of the field passing the 1000m and on settling it was Temporise the race leader Rusty Peaches was between runners with Full Clip and Flytego all prominent in the early stages of the event.

Passing the 600m it was still Temporise the race leader Full Clip had tracked up to be a fraction closer with Rusty Peaches off heals and Roman Knows back on the fence, with the Ben Pearce elect sitting behind a wall of four horses stacked in front of them making it difficult to ascertain whether to go left or right off heals as the competitors bunched for the run in.

Patterson waited and a run between riders become apparent the jockey electing to merge right, as the fence appeared too crowded  to risk, as the field closed in on the line it was the race leader Temporise landing the thick end of the cheque with Flytego in second, landing just ahead of the fast finishing Mad Brad whom has obviously come back with an honest preparation in mind. A solid back marker effort after a slow exit.
