The Ben Pearce racing yard supplied honest galloper, Le Patron to race six on the programme in the Minearc Systems handicap over 1100 m with Paul Harvey to ride jumping from barrier 13 in a field of 13.
On dispatch it was a fairly even beginning, as Le Patron drifted back in the field, first into stride was Just Act Natural, next was Jungle Scandal with Loopy’s Ladies third, Headlander Boy was in fourth, with Le Patron on the outside of runners towards the tail with only two runners behind her as the field steered towards the bend.
Into the straight, Just Act Natural led, Headlander Boy come off the fence, Jungle Scandal was next, however via the 200m Just Act Natural raced away, with a number of runners vying for the minors, the most prominent being Patrimonio, whom landed in second with Le Patron doing her best work late to edge out Pushin’ Shapes in fourth.
