Iza Lya picked up a maiden win at the start number one with William Pike dominating out wide to score in the www.avonvalley.com.au maiden over the 1400m trip.
Iza Lya travelled just off the leaders for most of the trip, with Sound Fury a length in front of Spirited Two, generating a positive clip on turning for home, it would be Iza Lya the widest runner the first to pick up the leading duet, Pick Up Line was back towards the cut away on heading for home.
Mid way down the straight Iza Lya raced clear and whilst being a bit erratic & appearing slightly green, professionally ended the run in first position to score in advance of Pick Up Line with Through The Glass arriving in third.
