The team settled up island waiting for race two in a 1350 m maiden with Peter Hall aboard jumping from barrier one in a field of six at the Toodyay race club meeting on Sunday, September 28 racing on a good three.
When the gates flew back Hall had Island Wedding in a prominent position and on settling it was Cyclone Sophie leading the field Sofala Bridge was in second Island Wedding was tucked in on the plastic in third with Mr Pizzazz in fourth.
Coming past the 700m the order was unchanged with the exception of Black Vega who pushed up outside of Island Wedding to move up to fourth, until coming to the 300m when Hall decided to make a move.
Island Wedding hit the lead momentarily before Vaintorio kicked up under runners to take the short cut and go to wire landing the prize by two lengths to Island Wedding with Black Vega in third.
