Hello Youmzain three-year-old Hello Veneta opened her winning account at Mount Barker on Sunday when scoring a comprehensive win in the George Taylor Maiden (1300m).

Starting the $4.40 second elect with Tash Faithfull aboard, the filly bounced straight to the lead from barrier one and controlled proceedings throughout to never look like getting beaten.

She kicked away on straightening and was able to maintain her margin on the field to defeat raging favourite Cosmic Walter ($1.50) by one-and-a-half lengths, with I Love Lucy A Lot ($15) a further head away in third place.

Hello Veneta produced consecutive fourth placings at Bunbury at her first two starts back from a spell and appeared to appreciate the step up in distance and drop in grade at Mount Barker to land her first win at her fifth career outing.

Pearce Racing will saddle up Working Class Girl, Sponge Cake, Super Romani and Eternal Romance at Belmont on Wednesday ahead of Saturday’s annual Magic Millions WA meeting at Pinjarra Park where full siblings, Properata and Perfectly Proper, will represent the stable in the $250,000 Magic Millions WA 2YO Classic and $250,000 Magic Millions WA 3YO Trophy respectively.
