Ben Pearce runner Gigidy Gigidy Goo, showed that at start number five the only thing awkward was its name as the 6-year-old gelding competed at Northam in race 3 on the program with Peter Hall looking for an early double, in a field of 10.

The field set off in the 1000m sprint with the early race leader being William Pike's Brittella, Mickey Trader was back on the rail with Mr Mcbu out on a limb,  Bollywood Blitz was in a fairly handy position on settling with Gigidy Gigidy Goo back in between runners towards the tail of the field in the Start A Conversation Maiden event.

Coming to side there was a fair bit of jostling as the field compacted to the size of a blanket, as they rounded the turn, Mickey Trader set sail for the judge, but only momentarily, as the race facade was about to change rapidly,  Bollywood Blitz had cruised past the race leader with Britella whacking away honestly, in second, Hall had released the brakes on his mount and although a bit wayward letting down, eventually straightened up to head to the line with a sail full of wind to land the maiden victory for connections with a solid effort over the 1000m to defeat Bollywood Blitz by half a length with Britella in third some 2.2 lengths adrift.

A pleasing effort for connections Mr J Papadopoulos, Mr D R Fletcher, Mr M Nash, Mrs M A Nash, Mr A G Valentino, Mr R S Ashby, Mr R A Clarke with their Vain Rancher X Borden galloper landing the cheque, the time that was posted for the trip was also pleasing with 57.75 recorded with the last 600m in 33.85sec, A Great Job
