Last start winner Gigidy Gigidy Goo headed to Northam on Thursday, October 8 to compete in a 0 to 64 handicap over a thousand metres racing on a good three with Casey Hunter aboard jumping from barrier 2 in a field of eight.

As the starter held them in the St Vincent DePaul society race 4 on the card, he then released the button, Gigidy Gigidy Goo was left floundering, falling out of the machine to the tail of  the field, and in the early part of proceedings had a tough job ahead over the sprint trip, the first runner into stride however was Roger the Roman Our Saxon Flyer was in second position tucked in on the rail with Tranquilo Sunrise out the deepest, You Watching Me was fourth, with the Pearce pairing still out the back some 5 lengths away.

Coming to the turn it was still Roger the Roman, Tranquilo Sunrise was out deep on the track with You Watching Me coming between runners, with Our Saxon Flyer losing its position, as Hunter was warming her charge up pleading for an effort coming along on the inside of runners, sitting reasonably hard against the rail after the poor get away.

Into the straight You Watching Me mounted a challenge, albeit taking a fair chunk of the straight to draw level, however drawing past the 200m the 6-year-old was responding, looming up alongside Roger the Roman and edging out that runner on the line to score by half a head, Gigidy Gigidy Goo responding to the plea to finish on resolutely, nudging out Tranquilo Sunrise for the third prize, 1 1/4  back behind the winners on this occasion.
