The white-hot Fear The Wind continued his blistering form at Belmont on Saturday when landing his fourth consecutive win in the Mrs Mac’s Handicap (2200m).

Starting the $2.05 favourite with William Pike aboard, the Fiorente five-year-old extended his picket fence of victories in a relatively painless watch for punters.

Pike settled the gelding one-out and one-back after jumping from barrier four and improved into the race to hit the front on straightening before bounding away from his rivals to defeat Blackwater Bay ($8) by just under two lengths.

Baramagic ($31) finished a further length away in third place.

The Lynward Park Stud-bred Fear The Wind has now had 20 career starts for six wins, three minor placings and $225,308 in stake earnings and is now likely to progress to the $100,000 Rogan Josh Stakes (2200m) at Belmont on Saturday June 24.

Saturday’s success was Pearce Racing’s 25 metropolitan winner of the 2022/23 season so far, with a further 49 victories in the provincial area.
