The Ben Pearce racing team supplied one runner to race two on the Northam card with Forbidden Planet heading out in a two-year-old maiden plate for career start number one with Paul Harvey aboard jumping from barrier nine in a field of 12.

After an even dispatch it was Jetoomy fast into stride & playing the race director, Truffles was in second outside of the leading runner, Sharasso, the most seasoned runner in the field was on the back of the leaders, Reigns A Monty was fourth with the Ben Pearce commodity one of the fence travelling in a midfield position.

On straightening the leading group was unchanged, Jetoomy was still first, then Truffles followed by Sharasso, as Harvey brought Forbidden Planet to the outside,  the field headed for the judge with Jetoomy giving a kick passing the 400m, back in the field Forbidden Planet started to put in the big bounds & nearing the 150m marker edged up alongside the race leader, and in the concluding stages, cruised away with the win under the urgings of Harvey with the well-prepared runner winning by a length and a quarter on the line, to Jetoomy in second, with the race favourite In This Life rounding out the third prize.
