Blackfriars three-year-old Father Knick will be vying for his third consecutive win at Belmont tomorrow.
The talented gelding, who opened the $3.00 pre-post favourite for the Yellow Glen Handicap (1000m), has shown great versatility at his past two starts.
He led from start to finish in a dominant Northam maiden win on August 31 before charging home from ninth position at the turn when defeating Vital Asset by a length at Belmont on September 13.
Father Knick faces a rise in class tomorrow against the likes of Slik Sam, Count Tomoz Off and Forceful, however, his chances have been boosted after drawing barrier three in the 11-horse field.
Joseph Azzopardi retains the mount.
The Pearce stable will now have five runners at Thursday’s York meeting after Racy Ava was scratched in preference for a race at Northam on Sunday.
