The Ben Pearce prepared Don’tgetcaught took his place at the Ascot meeting on Saturday, January 2 in a BM 66+ handicap over 2200 m racing on a good four with Ms Jerry Noske aboard the well supported runner.

Recent raced have seen him win at Northam over 2200m and at Ascot in his last two outings, running a pair of thirds with the best of those being in the ATA Stakes with Jerry Noske aboard landing 2.8 lengths behind Bedamijo.

After jumping in the Kai Sapphire developments forth on the card, Saxon Saxoff lead up to the Crossing Don’tgetcaught was prominent, one off the fence, Cougar Express was behind that runner with Entrechat between runners as the field spread out many lengths.

Passing the riverside Saxon Saxoff was still the race leader with The Ladies Choice in second Don’tgetcaught was being bustled up by Noske as Cougar Express headed back towards the fence.

As the field swung for the run in Don’tgetcaught cruised up and hit the lead looking good all the way up the straight until being tackled by Dark Alert, whom loomed up, leveled and race to the lead to score the 4th on the card, to Don’tgetcaught, who ran another game race for connections with Galaxy Prince in third.
