The Ben Pearce racing team supplied Don'tgetcaught to race eight in a BM 60+ handicap over a mile with the top weight to be ridden by Alan Kennedy jumping from barrier 2 in a field of 11.
As the field departed the gates it was Gold Edge at big odds out leading the field Profound Effect was in second, Superior Lad was third, Yoakam was fourth as the Ben Pearce runner, Don'tgetcaught was tucked in on the rail traveling fifth passing the river side.
On passing the 600m it was still Gold Edge running a cheeky race Profound Effect was still second Yoakam was third with Don'tgetcaught progressing closer to the leaders sitting narrowly in fourth position looking for a way through upon entering the straight.
Midway down the straight the race leader was gone Night Prowler from the back and Highly Secret were going through the gears hitting the lead to indicate it was a race between the two Don'tgetcaught came squeezing through between runners into the clear, however it was Night Prowler gaining the upper hand in the concluding stages with Highly Secret second a wall of horses were lining up for third with Don'tgetcaught hanging on by head on the line to finish in third.
