Ben Pearce prepared Danablue headed to Bunbury race track in a BM 66+ handicap over 1208 m to be ridden by Alan Kennedy with the first starter back from a spell jumping from barrier eight in field of nine.

On leaving the stalls it was Our Pu Bear out from inside gate to lead the field, Tre Amici was a length back off its rump in second with Danablue jumping prominently to be restrained by Kennedy in the early stages to sit fourth with Fringed sliding up underneath as the field settled past the thousand.

Coming to the turn Danablue was about to utilise some of the earlier saved up energy to have a crack on turning for the judge, it was still our Pu Bear fractionally in charge Tre Amici was between runners with Danablue wide with Fringed tucked back on the fence and Cougar Nights the race Favorite who was steadied off heals early in the event, coming in for a trail with a blanket covering the nine starters.

One fifty meters from home Kennedy had his charge full of running and was in no danger cruising to lead to score on the line 3/4 of a length to Monteverdi whom ducked back towards the fence on straightening to allow a clearer passage in second from Fringed on the paint landing in third.

Congratulations to the owner Mr Mc Kee on a great run first up from a spell.
