~~Race 4 on the Belmont card saw Danablue finish second in the benchmark 72 handicap over 1300 m with Jarryd Noske aboard jumping from barrier one second up from a spell, it what was an untidy preparation to the event with two late scratchings of Hold Your Tongue & Calabria Joe both coming out with a final field of 8 to compete.

In the early stages Danablue controlled proceedings and with 800m from home was out by around a length and a half, and on hitting the straight had pinched an early kick, however as the race drew to its conclusion, Zuccheros loomed up grabbed the lead and drew well clear, relegating the game Danablue to second.

Mad Brad contested a BM66+ Hcp in race 5 on the card with Cint Johnston-Porter aboard jumping from barrier 2 with a field of 8 to compete for the prize, with 1200m before them.

After a relatively level despatch Mad Brad jumped towards the rear settling with two campaigners behind them as around 6 lengths covered the field passing the 600m, coming to the turn jockey Johnson-Porter was looking for an out, scrubbed along with an outside runner not assisting the jockeys attempts to get out, the race favorite second elect ridden quietly by Pike made their run from the back and although Mad Brad found clear running in the concluding stages it was all to no avail as Ideal Image ran away with the event with the game Mad Brad arriving late.
