Danablue from the Ben Pearce yard headed to Belmont turf club on Saturday, 14th of June with the weather fine and a track rating of a good three was applicable.

Danablue headed out in race eight in a 1400m handicap race with Sean O'Donnell in charge jumping from barrier five.

O'Donnell had Danablue out positively from the gates and on settling took a sit two off the rail in between runners finishing up without cover in the hope that in the straight they may introduce a nice finish.

Over the back corner Rusty Peaches led the field in first position New Time at odds was in second place Danablue was outside of Beltane in third,as the field strung out a fair way from top to toe.

Coming into the turn it was still Rusty Peaches, a half to New Time, Danablue was prominent and Brother Patrick made a line of four.

Coming to the line it was New Time taking out race eight on the card with the fast finishing Dark Delight a nose in second with Danablue a further head back in third position with Rusty Peaches rounding out the top four, some length and a quarter adrift.

The time for the event was 1:24.97 with the last 600m clocked at 34.55.
