The Ben Pearce racing yard supplied Corse He’s Quick to race 2 on the Narrogin card, in a maiden plate over 1100 m with Chanelle O’Grady aboard jumping from an awkward barrier 10 in a field of 10.
As the field dispatched in the Steelo’s Guns & Outdoors maiden, the first runner into stride was Mental Note, Miss Diamonds bounced out to sit second, Corse He’s Quick was out on a limb from the outside gate, before working hard to sit third via the 600m, Rory’s Racer was next in line to sit back on the rail.
Into the straight Corse He’s Quick loomed up and looked a danger, Miss Diamonds fought back hard on the inside with Rory’s Racer running up hard against the plastic to grab the lead late on the line, scoring the prize with Miss Diamonds in second, Corse He’s Quick was close by to fill another placing, finishing a half a length back in the third division.
