The Ben Pearce racing yard saddled up Corse He’s Quick for race one on the Narrogin card in a maiden plate over the 930 m sprint with Chantelle O’Grady aboard jumping from barrier six with a weight of money supporting Valderi Valdera and Shadablaze.
As the gates opened the first into stride was Shadablaze, Corse He’s Quick joined the leader from the outside gate to sit second, & via the 400 the pair eyeballed each other with Scandalous Prince tucked in behind the leading duo.
As the field turned for home in the sprint, Shadablaze and Corse He’s Quick was still going stride for stride until the concluding stages when Valderi Valdera made a barnstorming run down the centre of the track, timing its run to perfection under the leadership of Jason Fish Whiting, to get the neck down in time to score with Corse He’s Quick bobbing in second with Shadablaze landing in third.
