Four-year-old Brown gelding Bomber Bay was prepared by the Ben Prearce stable's to take part in race 4 on the Belmont card in a BM 60+ handicap over 1200 m with Joe Azzopardi aboard jumping from barrier five in a field of 11.

After a relatively even dispatch Rule To Wyn was the race leader Super Eighty Eight, second up from a spell was second Doubt You Catch Me, Lucy Warwick first up from a spell was third, with Crown Choice Steven Parnham second up barrier one, was in a forward position with the Ben Pearce trained Bomber Bay working up three wide from a moderately drawn gate.

Into the straight Rule To Win hit the lead Mississippian stormed up alongside the leader to grab the control of the event, but that lead was short lived, as Bomber Bay under the urgings of Azzopardi, steered the runner first up from a spell to an early win in the preparation with a confident effort displayed on this occasion.

Congratulations to the ownership group consisting of B Pearce, G Nelson, S Orrock, G Smith & Ms D Greaves on a super return to racing displayed by their horse at Belmont.
