The Ben Pearce racing stables will supply runners to Ascot on Saturday, December 6 with overcast conditions forecast racing on a good 4 with the rail out 6m for the 9 event card.
The first of the stable runners will see the talented first up winner Chanzig, come out in race two in a two year old plate over 1100 m with Alan Kennedy aboard jumping from barrier six in a field of 12.
Chanzig began the preparation with a trial win at the Lark Hill finishing first of 11 over 950m, then travelled to Bunbury where he again trialled over a thousand metres taking out that heat in a time of 1:01.66, then contested his first competitive race at Ascot on November 22nd over a thousand metres when ridden by Kennedy landed the prize for connections, winning by three quarters of a length in a field of nine with a race time recorde of 1:00.53 with the last 600m in 35.86 when ridden worse than midfield the trip.
The final stable runner will see Vampi Lass, contest in race five in the Jungle Dawn Classic over 1400m of listed quality, to jump from barrier nine with Peter Hall aboard in a field of 13.
Vampi Lass is a four-year-old mare having start number 20 with two wins and 10 placings earning prizemoney of just over hundred and $123,000.
Recent runs have been all at Ascot with one on November 4 over 1400 with Peter Hall aboard landed the prize in a field of 12, by 1.5 lengths in a race time of 1:23.65 and was last seen racing in the Jungle Mist on November 22nd, finishing midfield six of 12 over 1200m when ridden again by Hall finished 2 3/4 lengths off the winner in a race time of 1:11.17 with the last 600m 35.11.
