Ben Pearce racing will supply three runners to the Ascot turf club race meeting on Saturday, February 14 with three runners to contest for the prize with fine conditions forecast racing on a good 3 with the stable supplying chanzig to the feature magic millions classic for two-year-olds with prize-money in excess of $230,000 to be dispersed.

The first of the stable runners Mad Brad will come out in race three first up from a spell with Ben Patterson aboard jumping from barrier 2 in a field of 11.

Mad Brad is a four-year-old Bay gelding having start number 12 with four wins and five placings earning prize-money in excess of $89,000, recent efforts before the break were both at Belmont, the first of which on September 6 finishing third of 9 over 1400m with Peter Hall the pilot landing 2 1/2 lengths behind the winner was last seen at the same venue on September 13 finishing third of 10 with Joe Azzopardi aboard landing one length behind the race winner in a time of 1:24.13, the three runs prior to these outings rewarded owners three wins in a row at the Belmont track.

The second of the stable runners Prince Friar coming out in race six in the make your own magic challenge stakes over 1500 m of listed quality with Alan Kennedy aboard jumping from barrier 10 in a field of 12.

Prince Friar is three-year-old Bay gelding having start number seven with one win and two placings earning prize-money in excess of $18,000, after winning at Pinjarra on January 14 he contested at Bunbury finishing second of 16 over 1410 m with Glenn Smith aboard landing half a length behind the winner on that occasion and was last seen  on February four finishing fourth of 11 over 1200 m with Alan Kennedy the pilot landing 2.25 lengths behind the race winner in a time of 1:12.04 with the last 600m in 35.6.

The final runner Chanzig will enter in race seven at 4:52 PM with the feature magic millions Perth two-year-old classic over 1100 m being the highlight of the day with Alan Kennedy aboard jumping from barrier nine in a field of 14.

Chanzig is a  2-year-old gelding having start number four with one win and one placing earning prize-money in excess of $70,000, with his career kicking off at Ascot on November 22 finishing first of nine over a thousand metres when ridden by Alan Kennedy landed the prize by three quarters of a length,  then ventured to Ascot on December 6 finishing second of 9 over 1100 m with Kennedy again aboard finishing .25 lengths off the winner in a race time of 1:06.28 and was last seen at Ascot on January 31 finishing ninth of 11 over a thousand metres with Alan taking the reigns again finishing ninth of 11, 5.75 lengths from the winner in a race time of 59.11 with the change of gear being the blinkers not holding the key, so Ben has elected to remove them for this occasion.
