The Ben Pearce Yard will head to the Toodyay Racing Club on Sunday, September 27 with the feature's being the 150 year Anniversary Hcp over the 1350m followed by the Toodyay Cup to be run over 1850 m in race six on the program, racing on a good three the rail position is in the inside the weather predicted to be fine.
The first of Ben's runners will see Poets Tale, first up from a spell heading out in race 2, in a maiden over 1350 was Ms Casey Hunter aboard jumping from a wide 13 alley.
Poets Tale is a four-year-old gelding having start number eight, without bothering the scorer earning prize-money in excess of $600, he finished up last preparation at Pinjarra on March 19 finishing nine of 12 with Peter Hall aboard arriving 5.5 lengths behind the winner, he then went for a break returning with a Lark Hill barrier trial on September 14 finishing fifth of 11 over 950 m with Ms Casey Hunter aboard arriving 5.25 lengths behind the winner of that heat.
The next stable runner to compete will see Vampatorio first up from a spell in race three in a maiden over 1100 m with Ms Casey Hunter aboard drawing another awkward alley in 14 with a field of 10 to compete, she is how ever, 1st emergency at this stage.
Vampatorio is a four-year-old Brown mare having start number four with $400 banked, at this stage, before finishing up at Narrogin on February 20 finishing seven of 10 with Ben Patterson aboard arriving 5.75 lengths behind the winner, she then returned with a nice trial on September 14 finishing second of 11 over 950 m with Ms Casey Hunter aboard landing 3.5 lengths behind the heat winner in a time of 56.24.
Race 4 on the card will see Prince Friar second up from a spell in the Lightsense handicap over 1350 meter event with Ms Casey Hunter again unfortunately having to jump from an awkward 14 alley with a field of 10 to go around.
Prince Friar is a four-year-old Bay gelding having start number nine with one win and 2 placings earning prize-money in excess of $18,000, since trialing twice this time in the latest of which being at Lark Hill on August 31 finishing third of nine with Ms Jerry Noske aboard arriving 1.5 lengths behind the winner, he then made the trip to Northam, on September 10 finishing nine of 12 over 1300 m with Ms Jerry Noske the pilot arriving 6.75 lengths behind the winner in a time of 1:16.77 with the last 600m in 33.96.
