Ben Pearce will head to Belmont on Wednesday, 11th of June with a trio of horses eyeing the prize at the Metropolitan TAB meeting with the weather currently fine and a Good three rated track is a possibility at this stage.

The first runner will go out in race one in WestSpeed nursery for two-year-olds over 1300 m with Prince Friar having his second start for connections drawing barrier five with Jarrod Noske to ride in a field of 11.

The Ben Pearce prepared gelding recently trialled at Lark Hill finishing first of eight in that heat over 950 m and was last seen competitively racing for the first time at Belmont over 1000m, finishing third of 11 with Noske aboard finishing 2.50 lengths behind the winner on that occasion.

The second thoroughbred for the stable will head out in race five in 1000m handicap event with nine-year-old gelding Freetime having his second start for the stable with Jordan Turner aboard jumping from barrier one.

Freetime had not raced since the 20th of November 2013, then Ben took over the training of the gelding and was first seen trialling at Lark Hill,  finishing first of five winning the trial by eight lengths.

First time out for the new yard he finished fourth of nine over 1000m, when Peter Knuckey rode the gelding to finish 2.25 lengths behind the winner McBlitzam.

The final runner for the stable will come out in race six with Lady Natesa heading out with Peter Knuckey aboard jumping from barrier four in the "Get Your Westspeed Nominations In Now" handicap over 1300m.

Ben bought the three-year-old filly at the sales and is raced by their ownership group which has seen the Filly have six starts to date for one x win one x second and one x third with prize-money of just over $12,000.

Since resuming this preparation she has raced at Pinjarra early May finishing fifth of 12 on a Slow 6 over 1203 m finishing 4.25 lengths off the winner on that occasion and was last seen at Belmont mid-May finishing fifth of 11 over 1200m on a Dead 4 with Troy Turner aboard, finishing a length behind the winner in a time of 1:14.16 with the last 600m in 35.94.
